About Our Joint Pain RESQ360™ Formula

MucoZaq™

Fresh raw New Zealand green lipped mussel

Protects Cartilage and Provides Cartilage Building Blocks

MucoZaqTM, derived from Green Lipped Mussels, contains glycoaminoglycans which serve as lubrication for the “chondrocytes” (the basic cell unit of the cartilage). It has other important constituents such as marine ionized collagens, chondroitin sulphate and hyaluronic acid – all of them in a form which your body recognizes as natural food, making it easier for your body to absorb and use these nutrients when compared with other non-natural versions of these ingredients.

Targets Joint Inflammation

The ETA (Eicosatetraenoic acid) in MucoZaqTM is a potent COX 2 inhibitor. The powerful anti-inflammatory properties are contained in the lipid content of the extract. If the lipids are not stabilized, the extract loses its anti-inflammatory properties. This is where MucoZaqTM excels, as we use a proprietary process that does not destabilize the lipids during extraction. Our process also leads to a higher yield of ETA (a rare omega 3 fatty acid).

Bromelain

Bromelain

Targets Joint Inflammation

Bromelain is also a potent anti-inflammatory agent derived from pineapple stems. Bromelain has multiple mechanisms of reducing inflammation. NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen and naproxen), which many people take for arthritis, inhibit pro-inflammatory as well as anti-inflammatory prostaglandins. Bromelain inhibits only pro-inflammatory prostaglandins. It does not inhibit anti-inflammatory prostaglandins.

Bromelain also decreases neutrophil (immune cell) migration to sites of inflammation.*

5-Loxin®

acacia branch isolated

Relieves Joint Pain

5-Loxin® is a form of Boswellia serrata extract. Boswellia serrata extract has been in use for 2000 years in India, and it is currently used extensively for the management of arthritis-related pain. The active ingredient in Boswellia serrata extract is 11 acetyl keto beta boswellic acid (AKBA).  Scientifically it has been determined that 100 mg of 30% AKBA extract is effective in inhibiting the 5-lipoxygenase enzyme, the proposed mechanism by which Boswellia serrata extract reduces joint pain. Clinical studies have shown that daily supplementation with 5-Loxin® provides relief of joint pain and improves physical functioning after 7 days, and patients in this clinical study continued to see further improvement after 7 days with daily use of 5-Loxin®.**
